Hi! I’m Amanda Gangoso

Thanks for being here. I’ll tell you a bit about me first. I’m a Capricorn, I LOVE dogs, dance classes (any Zumba fans?!) and yoga. You’ll often find me outdoors on the down time, hike, snowboard, surf, bike, swim, as long as it’s outside. On a chilly, rainy day, I’ll cozy up with a book and hot cup of tea or coffee, making sure my introvert self gets the quiet recharge time I need.

I’m originally from Edmonton AB but spent the last 20 years in Vancouver and I’m an island girl now, yay! Nanaimo is home base (as of 2018), I still travel to Vancouver for my other business, The Green Beauty Collective and some Freelance work. Although, I’m new to Vancouver Island, I have a feeling I’ll be sticking around for a while, these chill island vibes are pretty great and appreciated as a find myself wanting quieter surroundings as I get older.

I’ll tell you what I love about doing what I do. I had this unexpected melding of educational backgrounds, Makeup Artistry (since 2004) and Holistic Nutrition (since 2015). I had no idea these two thing would bring me to where I am today, I love being able to offer women a service that nurtures individuality. I love enhancing a woman's features when creating their personal makeup and hair style. I love being able to offer natural, organic makeup options with professional quality and performance along with my experience and expertise. Teaching women how to embrace their individuality using quality products is the fuel to my fire. What we put on our skin, our largest organ of our body, can end up in our bloodstream, I personally would like to avoid harmful chemicals as much as I can, I offer the same for my clients.

It’s so cool and totally unexpected that my Holistic Nutrition education almost always comes up in conversation when someone asks me about how to get a healthier glow to their skin. What we put in our bodies, surly will show up on our skin, our largest organ of the body. I’ll tell you something else, I love to eat, so be ready to talk about food in a positive way because food is fuel, it’s community and I want you to feel inspired to eat. I’m gluten free-ish, I love comfort food just like everyone else and need to enjoy some Hawkins cheezies every once in a while, because what’s life without enjoying our guilty pleasures every now and then.

I look forward to working with you.
